Creative Systems Theory is a comprehensive framework for understanding purpose, change, and interrelationship in the workings of human systems developed by myself (Charles M. Johnston MD) and others at the Institute for Creative Development over the last forty years. The theory’s concept of Cultural Maturity specifically addresses the times we live in the tasks ahead for the species. Each month I write an article that applies the ideas of Creative Systems Theory and the concept of Cultural Maturity to some question of particular interest. My intent is that each in some way will help inform the kind of understanding and decision-making needed for a healthy and vital future. By subscribing you will receive each new article as it is written and join a larger conversation on these topics.

Over my life, I have written twelve books and numerous articles on our human future and how we can best prepare to meet it. You can find out more about my thinking and contribution at my author page (www.charlesjohnstonmd.com), Cultural Maturity blog (www.culturalmaturityblog.net), or the Ask the Cultural Psychiatrist YouTube channel(https://bit.ly/3QaofcZ)
